| Description: | Beacon Associates, Inc., a small, woman-owned Federal contractor, is seeking an energetic Telework Program Specialist to provide program management support related to Alternative Workplace Arrangement (AWA)/Telework activities for our government client.
|
| Duties: | � Provide expert assistance in the use of various information technology communication applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
� Provide assistance with event planning and activity.
� Work with AWA staff on partnership or other collaboration activities and initiatives with Telework/AWA experts, researchers, advocacy groups, and/or other organizations working to advance AWA use and benefit for Federal agencies as well as for state/local government, private sector organizations, international governments and organizations, and the public.
� Work with AWA staff to prepare AWA briefings, presentations, and/or demonstrations regarding issues, policies, and initiatives for government organizations at all levels, professional associations, private sector organizations, and international governments and organizations.
� Assist AWA staff in preparing written responses to action items requiring a Government wide position on policy and standards related to AWA activities.
� Manage 2 or more listservs and web pages on a government Portal as needed.
� Design, layout, and work with Graphics team regarding AWA promotion and technical information materials; order printing; carry out hard and electronic copy distribution of AWA communication/promotion materials.
� Prepare briefing materials, to include Power Point presentations and handouts, on AWA activities for delivery to government at all levels, professional associations, technical organizations, and the private sector.
� Assist AWA staff in providing critical analyses of pressing issues and required policy recommendations to management officials in formulating decisions regarding AWA.
� Research and present findings, as requested, on current practices and issues in various types of alternative workplace arrangements and/or other research areas designated by the AWA team.
� Assist AWA team in testing new technology

| Qualifications: | � Bachelor�s degree
� Minimum of 5 years� work experience
� Microsoft Office Suite
� Internet research
� Strong attention to detail; ability to multi-task
� Government experience is strongly desired
� Position does offer the opportunity to work from home in addition to working from one of our office locations: Bel Air, MD or Lanham, MD
